Continuing with my refurb of the attic flat.  I want to put a TV aerial in.  How do I get the cable from the outside in?  Its a roof with full sarking boards - you cannot see the slates from the back. There are no vents in the roof. I only have velux windows and while it could be brought in thru them it would both damage the window and be very untidy as the cable would ( even if a small distance only) have to be run down the wall.  I have easy access to the roof,  easy access to the eve space.  I want to put two points in one on each side of the room.  Running the cable round yhe eves is fine but how do I get it outside to connect to the arial?  I just cannot fathom a way and I am sure I am missing something simple.  I have no vertical external walls - the whole flat is in the roof space.
Help a bewildered old man please.

Through the fascia, soffitt or barge boards?? Leave a U-shaped loop of cable below the hole so that rain drips off rather then along the cable and in

Could you put one in the eves space and use a booster? I have this set up and it works well. We are on top of a hill though.

Are there any ventilation bricks to the eve space?

Should say eaves above.

I was also thinking of the gable when I typed the second sentence, is there space boarded off below the ridge tiles?

No soffits / fascia / barge boards - the sloping roof runs down to a leaded gutter then a stone parapet outside of the gutter.  georgian stone bulding

No ventilation bricks - its slated roof down to the gutter.  No stonework or external walls - all slated roof or flat roof

Its a flat roof on top - sloping slated roof down the sides  Putting it in the eaves is not a bad idea - might try that - we are indirect line of sight of the transmitter - I can actually see it around 20 miles away

You should be fine with it in the eaves, given your line of site to the Fife transmitter

Put the booster next to the aerial, if needed and you will only have minimal extra cabling.
