Hi, keep getting a window saying 'this site may not be safe' from lyric.pubmatic.com. Options are to trust, continue or cancel. Safari has been running slower since this is happening, with some sites not loading. Assume I've got an adtracker bug?
I've googled re removing so have:
1. clear all history
2. cleared cache
3. installed Malwarebytes and scanned frequently with no bugs found at all
4. searched in library for *.pubmatic.com without finding it
5. installed Adblocker which seems to be stopping the window flashing up but Safari still sluggish and some sites not working/showing properly
I haven't got a reset button. Tried running Chrome but it's acting strangely too.
Any directions of what to do (with simple steps as I'm not that savvy)? Thanks
It’s possibly an extension.. have you tried preferences>extensions ? If it is one it should be easy to remove
Could also be a dodgy ad as pubmatic seen to be an ad company... did you clear the chrome cache And history as well?
For starters maybe remove the adblocker app - depending on source, it's possibly dodgier than any ads. Which adblocker are you running?
lyric.pubmatic.com doesn't resolve for me and www.pubmatic.com resolves to a page that looks either like it's not loading the CSS correctly or was written in 1990.
Assuming that you've supplied the correct URL I'd suggest that the problem isn't at your end but rather that it's broken.
Thanks ...
- checked extensions, nothing in there at all
- yep, cleared Chrome cache and history and have now removed Chrome completely
- it was Adblock. I've now removed this
- checked 'manage websites' in Safari preferences and pubmatic was there, I removed it and have rebooted. Maybe that'll help?
- Cougar - I went to pubmatic.com/opt-out and the page didn't load correctly so I wasn't able to click on opt out button
the page didn’t load correctly
As I said, it's the site that's broken.
