I'm looking at setting up as a sole trader and doing mobile repairs and services, although most of the work will be probably be done in my workshop after picking up the bike.
I've started calling round a few insurers who do public liability, but they seem to be a bit stumped and just say they don't cover that sort of thing, and only really do plumbers, builders etc.
I know there are a few bike techs/shops on here, i was hoping you might share which insurer you use.
Cheers
Matt
I looked into this last year. This guy might try and try and get you to sign up to his group but it looks like he would also offer some advice too.

simply business speak to an advisor.. tell them you will be doing ,mechanical repairs out of the back of a van and at home, just like a plumber really
directline will do it for about £50/year
Try the assosiation of british insurers, they should be able to help.
