I started some work at 6 as the dawn chorus woke me at 3:30. Finished early and cleaned the bike. I'm now getting it dirty again after some mild "gravel" and I'm in the Horse and Harrow in W Hagborne. A pint here and then up to Harwell Science site and then off to the villages around Wantage before heading back via Abingdon and Oxford. Anyone else out playing today?
We did much the same last night. 3 of us got an early start, got a bit muddy riding down to the Hamers Arms in Summerseat, from there to the Hare and Hounds in Holcombe, then the big climb up to the Shoulder of Mutton, at the top of the Rake, then rolled back into Rammy to finish.
Felt like a long, long time since we've done owt like that. And if any good can come of Covid, then I'm hoping that sitting in a pub beer garden and getting table service from the bar becomes a permanent feature. I could definitely get used to that 😀
