Well first of all I think the PSU is the problem on my Medion desktop. It will power up for a couple of seconds then switch off without even displaying anything on the screen.
I've got the PSU out and it's 350W but I can't find a good match on ebay. The connections I have unplugged are:
- 20 pin connection to the motherboard, although there are 24 holes on the MB
- 4 pin connection to the MB in a 2x2 arrangement - fan?
- P3 edge connector to the hard drive
- P4 edge connector to a connection going off to a couple other places
- P11 edge connector to DVD

Don't skimp on the power supply whatever you do. Buy a reputable brand like Corsair.
