Yup. I do. Only when riding, worse on longer road rides. No fixes but much much better when I'm regularly going to the gym (so it's not great at the moment!).

Pso-rite..self help trigger point tool. Works for me but I don't have a tight psoas but I thought I might have.

Looks like a U shaped tool of plastic that you lie on top of. Imported from the US.

Yes but I've seen the price! Figure it must just be the old tight hip flexors and weak glutes story.

Many physios are not that good, don’t do sports or have any direct experience of the injuries that treat.

When you get a good one everything clicks and then you realise how bad the last ones were. My experience shows if you find one 5-10 yrs older than you that is into the same sports and has suffered similar issues they can be gold.

Found this really helps for psoas:

but will be different for everyone and you prob need to build up some strength in other parts of the core / legs / back to compensate too.

If you sit all day in the office and you main exercise is cycling the psoas are always going to be a challenge. You have to do movement / stretches everyday, before and after rides to sort it.

Some physios just treat pain to get older people to walk again with a just do this set of stretches 3x a week approach that isn’t going to do anything long term.

The short answer is yes, from time to time.

The solution is a tennis ball on top of a book - lay face down on it in the right spot to do the trigger release. Utter bliss as your legs come back to life and everything relaxes.

Lots of youtube vids under 'Psoas Release'

Pso-rite 80 quid on Amazon. That's two physio visits. Buy.

(Btw just realized you're best to only lay on one side at a time, and now I realised I do indeed have a tight psoas ;))

Sorry I'm getting excited. Did a quick release of my psoas and my posture omg. I can sit up straight without feeling I'm struggling against mass.
