Audi Quattro, was £39.99, now £19.99.
So tempted to race against my lad's RS200.
Or the 6R4, also the same price/discount.

Must be strong.....don't need more cars.......

Hmmm... If I didn't have too many cars already I'd go for this http://www.scalextric.com/shop/black-friday-sale/ford-mustang-1970.html and this http://www.scalextric.com/shop/black-friday-sale/chevrolet-camaro-1969-c3532.html.

A garage full may have been a exaggeration, there's two boxes one with a large set and a couple of extra cars minis and audis from memory and a second which is just track quite a lot in total but hasn't been out of the box in 5+ years.

I'm not sure but didn't they change the connector design a few years back this is the older version. If it's of use I'll have a closer look.

Old track still works. You can buy connecter pieces to link it to the new (and inferior) stuff.

wilburt...I might have to curtail any plans for more track but clasic cars might be of interest.
If you have a MG metro in McCain oven chips racing livery then particularly so...that'd take me right back to my youth!

Might be interested in the old scalextrix stuff. Email in profile if you prefer. Price and a better idea of how much there is. Cheers.

I've bought my lads the on-sale-at-Argos Demolition set thing, its a right pain in the backside as the cars fall apart without even smashing into each other. Will any cars work on the newer non-digital track?

I had one of these in white in the 70's. No idea what happened to it but I do remember swapping/buying it from Mark Mitchener, a school mate (no, I'm not expecting you to know him just illustrating that I remember some key details about it but not all)

Yes.

I'd have a look at the deals on SCX NASCARs here as they can take a bit of abuse without falling apart.

ssmith1979 -

Bad news..sort off.

I dug out the kit, it's a champion tourer set with 6.5 metre track, a btcc Renault Laguna and Audi A4 and various bits of fencing and stuff and there's also a couple of very nice Minis which drive lovely and about 10 extra metres of track.

Problem though when getting it out my daughter spotted it, she's never heard of scalextric before but insisted we set it up and has since spent the last two days building different tracks and racing anyone who calls around!

It doesn't look like some thing I can sell now sorry.

Bugger.

Nearly pushed the button on the FF set a few days ago but only now drunk enough to see its true value...and it's sold out.

🙁

My missus thinks our 28 month old is too young for scalextrix. Not happy.

When I got that set out my wife reminded me I bought for our sons second birthday and I bought him a play station for his first!

They'll never know I wouldn't worry till their ten and by the time their teenagers you'll wish you hadn't bothered anyway.

Today is the day that I break out my Scalextric set for my kids (5.5 and 2.5).

Parts of that set ( the 300 Set ) back to my 6th birthday.

My eldest is old enough. Finally!

i have a bizarre slot car interest.. i collect models of cars that raced in the 1966 le mans ( all brand new boxed in glass display case) the reason .. I m a big ferrari at le mans in the 50's/60's collector and 66 was the year that ford finally won by doing a man city and throwing unlimited cash and cars at it.. bizarre because i have more than 30 cars but no track..

I had that 6 wheeled f1 abomination of a car. Sure that's worth a few quid still boxed.

I'm oot.

That'll be a good starter for somebody as there is a load of track. 10ft ovals are boring, you need a bit of length and variety. Get a new Scalextric Sport Powerbase and the adapter track, transformers (you'll need two for that much track) and a couple of throttles and you are away! The tyres may need replacing too if they are a old.

I started with a load of old track off here and now I've got more cars than Chris Evans.

Have fun.

Harry the dragon,

Would you be interested in a 10% investment for 25% of the capital though?

Or, are you interested in the cars alone? They are "postable".

I may have someone interested in the base Formula 1 set.

Paul
