FTFY! 😉
The lights appeared on an episode of The Octonauts, which is current flavour of the month for the Flashlings, and they asked what it was. I tried so hard to explain it, but ran out of teh sciencez while doing so!
I want to show them the Northern Lights properly now. I've only ever seen them from an aeroplane, and while stunning, I'd love to get a good view of them from the ground.
Been active the last few nights but I've always been in my office when they were at their peak, seen some glorious starry skies though.
I've seen them from the Dark Sky's project at Kielder Water, once, for about 11mins, before the cloud cover melted them into mist.
Glad I didn't make a special effort eh..
Off to Iceland tomorrow
Forecast is 100% cloud so have next to no hope of seeing them 🙁
FWIW - clear enough to see milky way here in Tayside, didn't see anything
