I ordered 2 different sizes to send the one back that doesn't fit.lol
Point is, they turned up today and are actually really, really nice. I'm not able to spend a fortune on clothing so my standards might be lower than some but they actually look worth far more than they are selling for. External fabric feels *extremely* hard wearing, festooned with pockets, removable hood (I'm not a fan of hoods but this one is shaped into a "visor" so might actually be handy as I wear glasses), popper adjustments to cuffs, nice understated colour etc etc.
Not massively thick at all, designed to be layered up when need be!
Just a psa for anyone else that's going to be out and about over winter. They are marketed as "snow jackets" but seem ideally suited to general outdoorsy stuff.👍
Id happily wear this as a smart jacket to go out and about in.... But it's destined to be torn at by bramble and covered in mud.😁
Looks good.
It's only 2,000mm hydrostatic head though - that's pretty low compared to most these days that are 10-15,000mm, with top fabrics being 20-30,000mm.
Is it insulated, it seems to suggest it is.
We've ordered one of these for the boys as a riding jacket, and I'm super impressed by it. Regatta and Tog24 have some daft clearance deals on at the moment.

This is a proper down jacket, not too bulky, packs down to it's own pocket. I've worn mine every day since September, and I'm tempted to find a 2nd.
Looks great for dog walking/pub walk type duties.
Matt is spot on, don't discount Regatta stuff, it's way better than it used to be, or the price would suggest. I took a punt on a pair of softshell walking trousers from them, they were 25 quid, and they are superb, so much so I picked up a pair their standard lightweight trews that I use for local walks and trailbuilding, 14 quid.
Most of my winter/autumn riding kit is Regatta, they have some really good stuff and at a price that I am not worried about catching on brambles or getting caked in mud.
Big fan of Decathlon kit. Everything I've bought there has been better than expected for the price. Regular instore sales as well, great VFM.
Regarding Dare2b/Regatta/Tog24 has anybody ever paid full price for anything? Other firms get pelters for that kind of pricing carry on.
Aye, it is all a bit Ashley tbh.
