That's fairly quick, they have all the sets ready made, the location sets established, cast and costume already sorted, so they only needed confirmation that a second series was being green-lit, they probably already had scripts prepared as well, confident that it was going to a second series from early responses.
It probably took a couple of years to get the first series done, if not longer; there's a hell of a lot going on, and there's a hint there might be a Samurai World in this series, so even more sets, costumes, actors to put together.
Really looking forward to it, I thoroughly enjoyed the first series, it went places I never expected it to go.
