Wow. I'm only 10sd so no good to me, but what a bargain!
I'll bump this as I was about to PSA the same thing via Wiggle (here). Seems a very cheap way to go 12 speed with your old wheels, or make your old wheels a suitable backup.
Am I right in thinking this uses the same free hub as (old 11spd) Shimano GRX thus allowing a slightly cheaper upgrade to 12-speed Eagle? 🤔
Great PSA
Bought for a spare after seeing it on the fox forks PSA 👍
Great PSA! Huge saving. Bought one for the spares bin (along with a new chain)
Right I really shouldn't be spending, but I'm tempted. I'm currently running 9 speed - will this cassette fit on a hope pro2? I've not really kept up with all the changing standards nonsense.
And what is the best chain / shifter to pair this with? Already have a single 34t narrow/wide ring on the front which I assume will be fine?
SRM GX level stuff is really good value for things like chains and shifters (about SLX equivalent)
Except this is SX isn't it?
Still a bargain. Mine arrived this morning, should have posted a PSA, sorry!
It's a heavy lump, but only 10% heavier than the Sunrace equivalent, and a third of the price. And all 12s cassettes are heavy lumps really.
Except this is SX isn’t it?
Yes @thenorthwind it is, you're right, sorry. I was answering @DT78 question about chains and shifters by suggesting that GX are good value. Not a particularly clear response from me.
Which budget Mech to go with this?
You won’t regret this XO1 rear mech at the current price of £90 (as other threads have mentioned before)
There was a PSA for X01 for £90 t’other day.
Not mega cheap, but a decent saving
Lol, beaten to it
Thank you! 🍆
Mine's turned up. It will come in very handy to anchor my dinghy until I fit it.
Thinking of trying an old M8000 rear mech with a 12sp shifter as a frugal setup.
According to this, it works, and I have persuaded a long cage M8000 to work with a 50T, so fingers crossed.
Great PSA. Great price for a consumable part. Bought one for my spare part bin 👍
