It was a good year for sure. My last full year as a student. Started work as a jr doc in 93. Good times all round

It was a bit before my time but being into old school, jungle, hip hop, breakbeat these tunes were a staple of the parties I was going to in Late 90's early 00's

The bass on this Aphex Twin track sounds so shit coming out of my monitor speakers 🙁

Airhorn for the Prodigy Music Reach I take it 😀

I'm in a state of xtc after that Eric B and rakim

I remember the orthodoxy in britpop years was that 1992 was the worst year ever for music, the charts were full of simply red and color me badd

But now it's clear it was am amazing year

I was kinda surprised to hear Assassin - The Orb got to no.12 in the chart. Can you imagine that happening now Britain's Got Talent!?

They played PJ Harvey's 'Sheela na gig' as I was eating my muesli; really put a smile on my face!

OK, so no radio's in work so not heard anything since 08.30 this morning. All was going well until they put on Weekender by Flowered up. Jeez, I really can't understand why anyone rates that track. OK, I thought, it's 15 mins to work so I'll get a couple more bangers in before I arrive. But no, it's the bloody full version. Absolute self indulgent shite for the remainder of the journey.

Across genres as well, tribe called quest, red hot chilli peppers and so much old school dance / electronic music.

Had to pause for a meeting but back on it again with MAH and fsol back on love this tune.

I think 92 was the best , I'm 51 and had in previous years discovered drink , discovered hash , discovered madchester. In 92 I went full on rave , house , ecstacy and LSD. I went to Ibiza and tenerife with my now Mrs and was a shite but keen DJ. Going to the football was still enjoyable but my team Aberdeen were on a downward trajectory they will never lift themselves from. In a scale of 1 to 10 growing up in 92 was above anything since but behind the 60's and 70's but slightly above the 80's. Probably a solid 8.

Hearing the first bars of the Prodigy’s ‘Horns of Jericho’.

OMG!

I think it was Dave Pearce who interviewed them for Radio 1, around 6pm on an August weekday, 1992.
Nearly dropped the crockery.

I ****ing love that tune! Suns up the times to me. Sorry/not sorry 😃

The Liam H mix at lunchtime was awesome!

1992 was a very good year. Apparently. I wouldn’t know. It’s all more than a bit hazy

Wasn't keen on that long mix that MAH put on.
Reminded me of Jive Bunny, which must have been around that time too 😅
