Backpackers Liz, Kristy and Ben buy a car to explore the Australian outback, only to break down in the isolated Wolf Creek National Park. They are rescued by Mick, a local who offers hospitality at his camp. But soon Liz wakes from a drugged sleep, tied up. In the distance, a woman screams, and there's no sign of the two men... Its bloody terrifying!!!!
If you haven't seen it, its worth a watch. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't book a holiday strolling around the outback after watching it
Norton!
or go watch eden lake and you'll be scared to go into the english countryside.
>Norton!
riiiiight.
Or American Werewolf in London?
"Stay on the path"
That statement has never crossed my mind while riding on the moors at night
Very scary indeed. All too believable...
I watched 'Cherry tree lane' earlier, fantastic, you won't want to open your door.
It's not good,It's not even frightening, it's just generic Aussie torture porn, with a lot of visceral splatter, instead of genuine tension to distract you from the fact that not a lot is going on,and that the plot arc is absurd, and the dialogue risible.
If you get a vicarious thrill from watching faked torture, then it's alright I suppose.
Much, much, much better Ozploitation films around than that by far.
That might just be my opinion though. 🙂
That might just be my opinion though
I think so.
Oops been on the leffe, meant Dennis Nordon 🙂 any hoo going to watch it.
That might just be my opinion thoughI think so.
Nope, not just him. Wolf Creek is a thoroughly unpleasant exercise in misogyny masquerading as a thriller.
Enjoy.
Oops been on the leffe
Oh why my dear chap you are excused, a fine beverage.
Thank you very much Johnners, nice to know there are still some people out there who expect a little more from our cinematic experience than merely launching viscera and body parts everywhere 🙂
Yes, I hear Driving Miss Daisy might be on ITV2 next month.
Is this the one where one of the women could have ended it early on by picking up the rifle and shooting the bad guys but decided to sack that off and just try and search the "body"?
Or am I confusing this with another crappy film?
You can't just slag it off without imparting your alternatives. Lets have some recommendations for horror films please gentlemen. I've not watched a good horror film in a while.
Can't beat a good scare yourself-silly-film
I see it as 23:10 - just in case anyone is waiting for it...

Yup, exactly as posted get the popcorn ready.
Watched it, it's guff. Not scary, not even a teency bit. Sorry this will not be making my top 100 movies..
you want to see something really scary 😉
Binners: Cherry Tree Lane (not really a horror, but very tense) let the right one in (original not remake) house of the devil are the best I've seen recently.
Oz horror?
I like Razorback - vaguely believable if you've ever hunted feral pig.
Razorback is one of my faveorate films, hilarious and enjoyable. The stereotypes are tounge in cheek rather than point and laugh.
Wait till you see Snowtown.
Bad Taste- it's not Oz, but it's scary, funny, and genius. 8)
