Peak Finder is the free app of the day on Amazon App Store (usually £2.60 on google play)
Peak Finder is the mobile app version of this site to identify nearby peaks/hills/mountains:

e.g. view from Ullswater
Amazon app store can be had from here if you have an android phone and don't have it already:

Oooo that looks handy, thanks for that!
There's only one "peak" visible from here, I must try it from the high point of the way home to see if it finds any more...
Installed, works great, thanks.
Ooh, thanks! It looks brill, even sitting indoors, by the Fylde coast.
No worries. I'm surprised just how many named peaks there are!
THAT
IS
LOVELY
thanks very much for the tip - this is exactly the sort of thing I want to be able to do with my phone!
Does anybody know whether I'll be able to download this again and reinstall now I've downloaded once? Or is there any other way to keep the app when I root my phone and install new firmware as I plan to do in the near future?

Yes, so long as you install the Amazon Appstore, and link it to the same Amazon account. Then it will let you reinstall any apps you have previously bought (or got as free app of the day).
Great, thanks, I'd figured it probably worked like that, but thanks for the confirmation.
