John Lewis, hence 2 year warranty.
Balls, just bought this from Very (for £275) a week ago. I guess the only thing I'm missing is the extra year's warranty
Also: Buy 2 joycons from The Game Collection for £49.95 and get a Switch or Xbox game for a penny.
Thanks. I'm still trying to work out exactly what I need to get the kids for Christmas..... i'll likely want a family subscription wouldn't I? Hmm

I've no idea mate, I'm in the same boat, got a Switch for my grandson but know next to nothing about the ecosystem. 🙂 Lol It's came with a 1 year sub to the Nintendo Online, erm, thingy! His mum will also be playing it when he's at school but she'll only play Animal Crossing or whatever it's called. His dads into Xbox... But they'll all play Mario Kart of course!
I bought the cheap steering wheels for Mario Kart as apparently young kids find that better? He'll be playing that with parents, so need an extra joycon or 2. I also bought a cheap dock thing to charge the controllers and hold any physical carts, nice rather than necessary, a screen cover to help my OCD too!

Looks like a good deal.
Do you really need switch online? Nintendo generally excels at local multiplayer player. I'm not convinced that the online side of switch games is that important for most people, unless you have specific friends you want to play against.
Yeah, I think it's access to a load of old classics that's the selling point. Didn't even know there was an Extended version though?!
Oh, it allows cloud saves too I think?
The online part comes with a load of NES and SNES games (and Mega Drive and GameCube, if you get the extended version
You can play Megadrive games on a Switch??
^^ Apparently so, the Extended membership also gives some extra DLC like extra tracks for Mario Kart.
Just been googling! Lol
Oh yes I guess that I may not need any subscription initially.
Use case is for:
-At home , probably connected to tv
- multiplayer games ( kart, wonder sports)
-maybe some single player not connected to tv but not too much(so zelda maybe)
So I think I need
1. The switch
2. 4 decent controllers ( or at least 2)
3. Whichever games
And maybe i don't need the subscription initially..... I can see a second switch and a family subscription coming as future purchase, or with 3 kids it might even be 2 additional switches.
The above deal is still a decent package though I think. Should I wait until black Friday though?

A selection, yes https://www.nintendo.com/en-gb/Games/Nintendo-Switch-download-software/SEGA-Mega-Drive-Nintendo-Switch-Online-2067750.html

I honestly don't know mate, I suspect if that's is a really good deal you'll have to be keeping a keen eye out to grab it.
I couldn't deal with the stress. Lol
I sold our switch as the kids are too old now. From what I gather the OLED model is well worth having, TBH I would get that just for resale value.
There are bound to be other deals as the switch is due to be replaced so they will want to shift stock. Will they be much better than this? Unlikely I reckon, a few quid maybe but I doubt it will be huge savings.

Nothing before April apparently
If you are after extra Switch controllers that can be used on other platforms like PC, just bought one of these for small gift towards Xmas for better half with 40% discount applied after being recommended.

I get "Kindle - we weren't able to load the preview". What's the link please?
No idea why I get those Kindle links.
Search "EasySMX 05" on Amazon, ~£36 before 40% voucher applied, so ~£22.
8bitdo Ultimate C's are seemingly better and cheaper. There may be a 2C version coming soon with upgraded internals.
They also make adaptors to use any existing wireless controllers (Xbox, Psx).
Do you really need switch online?
If you ever want to transfer game saves without going down the modchip route, yes.
Thank you squirrel, if I Google I find a 2c controller but it looks like it's android and PC compatible and doesn't seem to mention Nintendo.
Yeah that's 2.4khz wireless, you want the Bluetooth one
Edit: Ffs search for "switch 8bitdo controller" on amazon. Tried to post a link but stupid plugin keeps converting it!
Cool, this one looks like the right one
