I'm a big fan of Malewarebytes, but like most I happy to run it manually and ignore the premium features. I just signed on to my Natwest online account and was unusually told not to download their random Rapport security software, but a rather given a lovely free Malewarebyte license that cover two installs!
Noice..
hmm my malewarebyte account records: Available devices 8 of 10
I've activate two licenses..
RBS offer the same, are they still the same group?
Not sure I'd use the premium features but it's handy to have I guess.
I installed that Rapport software on an old computer and it was horrible, like a virus!
Agree, Rapport is a horrid bit of software which opeeates somewhat covertly after being installed Malwarebytes (not Malewear) is fine.
My Natwest account gave me a MWB licence for 5 devices. I was using the free version and (since a long time ago) Avast Pro. The Pro version has AV functions and doesn't play nicely with Avast, even if you add exceptions to both, but I was getting annoyed with Avast's marketing anyway. So I binned Avast and activated Windows Defender, which works fine with MWB Pro,
Heh Twisty can’t believe I did that, & not just once, I continued throughout, doh!
