Just a shout out in case anyone missed this from Friday. It's on catch up
Great documentary if you have even a passing interest in music, particularly rock
I first heard about rockfield as the stone roses had holedup there for their second album. It's got a great history though as you'll see.
The roses story is done justice to and is hilarious and you have Ozzy Osbourne, iommi, Liam Gallagher charlatans as v entertaining talking heads. After the roses it became the britpop go to residential studio
Plus the Rob Collins story
Highly recommended
I started watching because there was sae on and found it totally fascinating.
Loved the story of the two founders and their tape machine and I bet the Nags Head has seen some interesting times.
Cool, cheers. Will check this out.
It was excellent. Practically every story included lots of drugs no matter the band or the decade.
Really enjoyed it. The two brothers just seem to be completely and charmingly un-phased and un-changed by everything they've played a part in.
I do need to watch this. I've stayed there twice and had a recording session for a friends birthday which was a cool experience.

Wow, I saw they did holiday lettings so will have to check it out "...this is the actual recording desk that Lemmy snorted horse tranquilliser off cos his dealer had got stuck on the Severn bridge"
all that great music thanks to the copious amounts of ketamine down on the farm
Imagine if you were Newport weed dealer, just go to the nags head in Monmouth and sell Liam Gallagher, awash with record company money, some 'world class' soapbar. Get a stretch limo back to Newport
I love how Mani from the Roses got dead in with the locals and ended up having a kid with one of them 🙂
Cheers, will watch this!
Some of the best stuff on telly is the music stuff they show on BBC4
