After reading the thread(s) on the Ebay spy camera @ £15 I started to look at other video cameras and have ended up buying one of these.

It's been superseded by the later models from Kodak and Toshiba which are @ £130 and while these later models are better in terms of being totally waterproof etc. this looks good VFM - I don't mind risking £50 if it breaks while on the bars.
Done some shots but haven't been able to edit / upload yet and my home made handle bar mount was causing too much vibration so I'll have to fix that.
Overall the shots look good when the light is good but not so good in poor light (in doors at night) but this seems to be usual for this type of video camera. It records in .mov format so you'll need quicktime (free) to view (or codacs for WMP) and to edit you'll either have to get free converter software to edit in WMM or get software that does .mov files. Kodak recommend a class 6 SDHC card - I've used a slower card and get 10 - 12 minutes per 1GB recording at HD - I've found a Sandisk class 6 8mb for £23 so will use that in the future. Comes with a pair of rechargable AA batteries and a slow charger for them. The rubber case (free from Amazon) is OK but doesn't provide any protection to the screen and also when attached to a tripod etc. is difficult to get tight as the rubber compresses.
I'm pretty impressed with what gadgetry you can get for fifty quid these days - but the Toshiba ones do look a bit cool though!
