Knows there's been a few what running watch threads lately. This looks a great price if any one wants one, probably cos the 5 is now out.

nice one, thats a bargain, have ordered it.

I've had a non sapphire non HR fenix 3 for a year or so now, they're a great watch.

Anyone want to buy my non sapphire non HR fenix 3 (comes with HR strap)? The screen is scratched up pretty badly, but the watch functions perfectly fine.

Excellent, I've been waiting for something like this.
Question though, why would you need an external HRM? Isn't the integral HRM monitor one of the key features of these?

the integral HRM can be a bit flaky when you're bouncing around, and the strap based HRM has other sensors such as acceleromteres which can determine how much time you spend on each foot when running etc.

Excellent, ta. If it's mostly being used for road and indoor stuff, is that as much of an issue?

I'd expect the optical hr to be pretty accurate most of the time dcrainmaker - think it's this one

I have a couple of friends who have the HR one and it's been very flaky indeed. Not just the HR readings but altimeter and other general bugginess/locking up. Garmin are aware but no fix yet.

It's a great price tho. I have the non integrated HR one which I bought at Xmas and I really like it. Super long battery life, tough, fine as a normal (if big) watch and even the app isn't bad.

Colleague has a Sapphire HR and really rates it but also said the altimeter is terrible. Apparently it's because it runs on barometric pressure so needs recalibrating with GPS due to weather conditions.

Same for me - appeared to be in stock. Paid for it, then received the email to say that it is not in stock. Hopefully refund will come through pretty quickly

For those who ordered and paid - how long before you had a cancellation email/refund? Just I haven't received anything to say they were OOS yet!

Looks like I ordered after you guys, so am doubting my order will actually be fulfilled.......

Crap, just ordered one when I saw the deal, didn't see that they were out of stock. Didn't think they'd last long at that price. Will hope the refund come through quick.

The CRC ad at £400+ that pops up at the bottom of the page for me doesn't look like quite the bargain that CRC HQ intended

Anyone whose had an order confirmation had it cancelled yet? Order conf came through at 20 past 8 last night and had nothing since. Website says unavailable now too. My fingers are crossed.

If it works does anyone want a nearly new forerunner 235?

Got one of these, built in HR is flaky on the bike, especially if your wrist is bent forwards riding on the tops on a road bike, I almost always use the chest strap.

I've got the 235 with HR, it's ok on the bike, i wouldn't use it for serious training but it does the job to keep the fitness and freshness graph on strava upntondate when i cant be bothered to put a strap on.

Just done a live chat as I'd heard nothing. Apparently that was because they'd decided to cancel my order without telling me or refunding my £250. Shysters.

Gutted, was quite fancying one too.

Have they refunded you yet?

Got my refund showing in Paypal now, but not my Paypal credit account. Or in my available balance. Will give it a day as no payment due any time soon.

No other deals, is kinda got it into my head that I was getting one so I'm dissapointed now. Want to stick with the HR one as I like the 24/7 HR, it lets me know when I'm going to be ill.

@msp which holly? I grew up with the female one.
