App called Fast Camera has been reduced from £2.99 to 'free' today. Does a superfast burst of shots. Thought it may interest some (or not) 🙂

I thought that had been removed from the App Store, because Apple have bought the company, and brought the developer into the camera team.
Unless it's a different app.
If it's the same one, the tech behind it is apparently ground breaking, using completely new algorithms for JPEG compression.

Nice one. I was expecting it not to work on a lowly 4 but it does 🙂

Attempted to create one of those videos where people jump and you edit to make it look like they are flying (it has an export to video function).. but my son wouldn't do it sensibly! What I did showed it would work well for that kind of thing though 🙂

That is pretty amazing - incredible how rapid it is. So, what clever effects/uses can this be put to? Any clever suggestions/links?

Somehow it does 20fps where the 5S can do 10fps standard. Damn that is fast what would you need 20fps for! I like the video at 4K, 24fps, might come in handy if its decent quality.

DezB, try Echograph for that sort of thing.

Crafty use of the screenshots on the itunes page.
Might have to nick that one!

Quick play with the app today. There's five shots between these two

Sadly, so far I haven't had any opportunity to try it out. The fairly spectacular cloud formations this afternoon don't really need high-speed photography. 😐
