You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
The National Trust are offering free family tickets (2 adults and up to 4 children) again this Autumn. Valid until 20 October.
We did this offer last year and had a great day at Fountains Abbey. It's not valid at all their places but should get you in somewhere worth visiting.

PS I don't know whether this offer applies to NT Scotland or just England & Wales
Perfect timing - just looking for stuff in October week. Thanks!
is there a map of where is available? seems to be a choice of 138 places? I've registered, got a barcode, can I just turn up to fountains abbey whenever I want? because when I click though it says "Sorry no items are currently on sale"
To book with the pass:
i. Visit the property’s web page, click ‘Book a Visit’.
ii. Select a free member’s ticket and when asked for your membership number type ESCAPEINTOAUTUMN23
iii. Complete the transaction and you will receive a booking confirmation by email. If you only select the free members tickets, you will not need to enter your debit/credit card details and you will not be charged.
iv. Present both your booking confirmation and the National Trust family pass email to the National Trust team member on arrival. Entry cannot be guaranteed without a booking confirmation. Free entry cannot be guaranteed without a National Trust family pass.
6. This National Trust family pass gives free admission to any National Trust property EXCEPT for those properties excluded from the promotion, which are listed here: nationaltrust.org.uk/guest-pass-exemptions. Passholders should check in advance of travelling as entry can be refused at an excluded venue.
Brilliant, thanks. Sutton Hoo for us (then lunch at the Ramsholt Arms).
Thanks, great PSA, did it last year and had a nice day out.
Did one last week (Hinton Ampner) and just rocked up with the email bar-code. YMMV.
Last year I think we just showed the magic barcode to the people on the gate. I guess if you book ahead entry is guaranteed if it is a venue that might sell out. Places like Fountains Abbey are huge so unlikely to not get in. Afraid I don't know what limits there might be other places.
Got NT membership anyway but shared that with our grown up kids who'll be grateful of it thanks OP
