My bro has got the original one for his kids and it's survived (almost) a year of abuse.
Meant to say - wonder how it compares to my LG GPad which has a similar sized screen.
That retailed at £250rrp, but I got mine for £160 and got my Wife one a few weeks later when Tesco dropped the price to £120.
I reckon 8" tablets are a decent sweetspot between portability and usability.
Looks like it'll be a good buy for anyone who doesn't get hung up on brands.....

I got one for my lad last week. It cost £7 with a handful of Tesco vouchers.
Screen is brilliant; size is just right. Better than my Nexus 7 or the wife's Galaxy 10.1. Apart from that it's a good Android tablet. The kids settings are good and well easy, too.
