I think they are...had a text from them the other day (I think...no guarantees!!) to say so.

I'm sure I saw something doing the rounds on social media talking about them not being a free issue, but rather on free hire as part of your contract ie. if you end your contract a few months after getting one, you get billed for it...can't comment on the veracity of that though.

Just sent my text & received a code number back 2 secs later! I'll wander down to the EE shop later & collect it.

Yeah there is something in there about that but it's about £8.

They work very well we have 2 and on days out we try to take on with us, also handy if you use your phone on rides for navigating.

I know, you'd be surprised what people mount campaigns on social media about, wouldn't you?! Actually, no, you probably wouldn't 😀

There's been some confusion around this thing.

(TL;DR is "no, it isn't" but it's probably worth a read)

The previous offer had its terms updated last month, giving you about seven days notice to collect your battery before the offer expired.

The contract appears to mean they will bill you for the residual value of the device if you stop your contract with them, but as the residual value will vary from eight quid to a nominal penny, no one expects them to bother. They're great little things to have..... all our family have one each, charging GPS units, e-Cig batteries and various devices. I think my lad even used his to recharge his phone once!
