Thanks dude. Due a trip back to Tremadoc but probably only for a brew these days.
One Step in the Clouds as calling 👍
I remember sitting at he top of Tremadog surrounded by blackberries and signs saying "don't eat the blackberries, the farmer has been spraying the fields". Eric's caff had some nice looking blackberry pies for sale!
I've spent many an hour sat in the cafe talking to Eric when the weather was too bad to climb. He is indeed a legend.
I wouldn't rush to Tremadog at the moment though as there was a managed rockfall a couple of months ago which has destroyed the whole face around Shadrach. The area around there and Grim Wall is still closed as far as I am aware due to more loose rock.
I thought this was done a week or two ago, altho might have been a heads up to climbing mates on whatsapp group I suppose, anyway unsung UK hero he certainly is and made a good cup of tea back in the day on his campsite. a great man
