Any folk walking their pooches on the south coast over the next while....

My dog and I were walking this morning on the beach @ West Wittering as usual - then he disappeared off and I found him gorging himself on a big clump of palm oil - big white chunks of waxy greasy stuff that's come off a ship in the channel. The stuff has been spotted all along the south coast from cornwall right over to Kent, so hundreds of miles of coastline affected.

Anyhow, this stuff is super poisonous to dogs, and is fatal if not sorted.

So, keep an eye out for this if you're on the beach over the next few weeks - I've had a £100 vet bill to pay today as a result!

Looks like this:

Sorry for the off topic, but I know theres a lot of dog folk on here....

Cheers,

JB

I think its palm oil or similar. Not good for dogs. Theres a fair bit been washed up on the Isle of Wight apparently.

Cavs been copulating with dogs?
Surely that would have made the news?
