Binned off Sky last month (should've done it years ago!) and of course the offers have been flooding in. Following the advice on this page though http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/old-customers-offer-60-off-sky-tv-100-credit-family-bundle-38-now-6-66-sky-2462638 I asked for & got an extra £75 credit which brings the £38/month Family bundle down to less than £7 per month. Cheaper than getting a freesat box which I was going to do as not being able to pause/rewind is an arse once you're used to it!

Have set an alarm on my phone to cancel again in 11 months 🙂

I can't understand the effort they're going to to get us back. We left for a reason. Their Internet speed was rubbish.

We asked for faster Internet, they asked us for more money. We left.

Now we get letters weekly trying to get is back, tough.,we signed up for Bt. Internet is now mega quick. Were paying less than we paid sky.

Surely Sky would have been better off keeping it's customers rather than letting them go?

Yeah, it's odd. I ditched them for phone & fibre as well as BT was cheaper & offering £150 cash back. I asked Sky if they were prepared to offer me anything to stay (having been a customer for 10 years). Nope.

Same here. Perhaps they've got wise to the trick of phoning up threatening to cancel to get a big discount and only give it to people who actually leave (and those who are worth retaining).

Having said that, my current experiences with BT are making me long for the halcyon days of making Murdoch richer.

I think it's more that for some reason they're not particularly pro-active trying to retain you, you'll probably get sent a couple of offers but that's about it. They still do offer decent discounts in order to retain you though - you just have to keep contacting them to negotiate

They've been doing that for a very long time.

OP well if you are going to have Sky you might as well pay very little for it. Keep publicising as the more people know the better.
