Just been & picked up a small 4" 360 degree vice plus an angle grinder & discs, they were nice & cheap & seem to work well enough for the money, well I don't think you can expect more for £32 all in 🙂

Much cheapness

PS the extension lead is UK but its small, so not worth the visit.

Cheers.

Is this repair going to hold?

I think the wisdom of repairing a cup that's going to hold boiling liquid with a substance that melts may be a little foolhardy, but you never know until you try 😉

I got some of those calipers, very handy. Anyone know what the vice is like?

The sharpening stones are ace for kitchen knives. And chisels.

The digital calipers are much of a muchness - once you know how they work, it'd be damned difficult to make a bad set!

Grum, the vice seems well made, although I have not used it in anger yet, just bolted it to the bench & tried bending a few things. It's much heavier duty than my basic Record one that lasted for years, so I expect good things.

Cheers.

Question is, is a £30 arc welder going to be much cop?

I have a yearning to have my own welding kit - although I am not entirely sure what I would make/do...

Those vices are fine, got one in my shed. You move the bench before the vice gives up.

I got a shower head set in last week's offer - total bargaintastic buy - £13 for something usually costing 3 times that. I love Lidl me.
