IMO same quality with a very subtle hint of spice, makes it "interesting" but not an overbearing spiced rum.

As a rum lover I picked up a bottle of this a few months ago.
Pretty manky with a synthetic tint to it - far better reasonably priced rums are available.
I like these rum threads...
I also apprecaite that we've all different tastes!
You know I'm a fan of red leg and sailor jerry!
I've tried the black barrel (got half a bottle left) and not so much a fan of it (neat), but with coke it's fine (sorry!!)
XO - I was much the same..
Diplomatico - was ok..a bit harsh..
I've gone a bit mad again - several more bottles turned up this week!
Pirates Grog (only got cos of the cool name) - nice - like red leg, but less vanillary
Pink Pigeon - wrapped up for the wife for Xmas
I got (from the airport) a single cane rum - funny; it REALLY tastes like whiskey! I'll save that for the whiskey fiend friends I have (was expensive too)
I've a few others too (i've actually 10 different rums now!)
It's fun to try, but i don't think i've got posh tastes as, like I say, red leg is my go to!!
