Oooh that is a good price, HUKD thread suggests quality is v good too! Was going to wait till the Halfords Advanced chests were on silly offer again, potentially this is better... Although it's massive, would need a serious re-jig of garage space to find somewhere to put it!!

That's not a tool box, it's a campervan

I almost became one of those posters: "Why would you spend £500 on a toolbox when you can get a decent cardboard box from Tesco....."

And then I clicked the link. And then I watched the video! I'd pay £500 for that, problem is my garage isn't big enough to accommodate it 🙁

Tempting - mate has the slightly smaller one and they're really nice, at least as good as the Halfords rollcabs. Our local store has had some of these languishing since the (brief) Bunnings takeover days, I assume Homebase want to get rid.

Note if you're thinking of collecting from store (assuming you find stock), the box is massive and it weighs 161kg. £30 delivery is decent value as long as you can get it from roadside into your garage easily.

161kg! Jeez, I'd hope it comes in multiple boxes or fully assembled with the wheels on, or you're going to need a fork lift truck!

This is the identical SGS version - comes on a pallet. Main box is fully assembled, you put on wheels and handles yourself.

My friend bought the same one from SGS, it turned into a parallelogram and he sent it back.

After some measuring, I will pass. Multiple smaller units will be better.

tipping it over trying to put the wheels on by any chance? There's a q on their website about that 🤣

It’ll not be 25stone….
no. I'm sure it's weighty enough, but there's a vid showing someone assembling/manhandling it by himself, so unless he's He-man it's clearly not that heavy!

Maybe 161kg is the max loaded weight. That'd make more sense. 🤔

Love the product pics for the 56" version showing it as a kitchen island. https://www.homebase.co.uk/ultimate-56in-10-drawer-tool-trolley/12813316.html

In fairness, it looks very smart as a kitchen island, and I imagine it's a fraction of the price of some industrial chic version marketed especially for the job.

The towel over the handle is a lovely touch. Bit overengineered for the job

Worrying to see a kitchen cutlery drawer with so few items of cutlery in it...something that size and you only have 6 forks???

don’t be daft, I’d already have 3 of them if that were true 😂

They do go on offer from time to time but lowest I can see was £505 (unless you know different?) There are a few different sizes (this being the biggest) which might account for the confusion.
