If it has, was there a particular moment for BBT?

IMO the tipping point for a lot of sitcoms is when they change the original characters' situations too much or try to introduce character development. This is why Seinfeld was still great even at the end! In BBT specifically when the guys stopped being useless with women and actually got girlfriends it changed the premise too much for my liking.

I'll still watch it though! Big fan of the earlier ones & it might have a few good moments.

My guide to finding episodes of this programme goes like this:

Turn on telly. Tune in to E4 --->is it Big Bang Theory, if yes, turn off telly....---> if no, it'll be How I Met Your Mother, so turn off telly.
