I've got one. It's OK but too bully and heavy for solo use.

I beg to differ.

However, the brupot is also discounted and at that price is pretty attractive. Just put a decent stove under it.

True Stoner - not as good as Jetboil - different and some would say more accessible!

For under £30 in the sale you get a 1.2 l pot, all in one stove and a boil time of around 4mins, and you pay over £100 for a Jetboil and gain a minute or two...

🙂

except you cant fit the stove & 200g gas can inside the pot.

The fact it's discounted might suggest mk2 on the way.

I've found them in the Chinese catalogue. Which is a copy of which I know not.

The BruKit is a re-badged Firmeaple FMS-X1 - the 200g canister fits perfectly in my one Stoner? but for a weekend ride a 100g canister fits with space for tea bags and powdered milk, does breakfast for two x2 and a hot meal, plus a cuppa x2 for two nights.

As a solo pot it is a bit large, I tend to go for a titanium mug and a small meths stove if by myself, but for two the BruKit boils water quick, enough for two dehydrated meals or pasta n sauce style, plus enough in the pot to do a cuppa after as well.

Horses for courses and I still maintain for the original £35 it is a good stove, at under £30 you can't beat it...

after some deliberation I went for the Koro stove and pans bundle
https://www.alpkit.com/bundles/lightweight-camp-set
and a separate BruPot
maybe not as compact but figured it gives me more versatility and can use the pans on family camping trips as well

two things - koru looks nice but not nice enough to draw me away from my msr whisperlite due to the cannisters...i frugging hate cannisters - ran out once on mull....on a sunday...... whats one to do - either end up with a bunch of half full cans by taking a new one every trip or risk running out..... one certainly doesnt carry two cannisters....My old faithful whisperlite fits inside the pans nicely and has never failed me - my small bottle and pump fits in one of my bottle cages nicely when out recreational touring with the mrs.

also - that concertina wind shield. - can you split them and shrink them.....i wouldnt mind the weight penalty to make my meth stoves a bit more wind proof but it doesnt need to go round a pot - just a ti mug. - light weight tinfoil windshields - tend to blow about in the wind..... i managed to melt one when the wind blew it into the flames 🙁

here what your saying trail rat but I currently don't have any lightweight cooker
If I had an msr I wouldn't be looking elsewhere, but I will only get occasional use out of it so the expense of a whisperlight, and bottle didnt make sense (I've also seen how much hassle my mate has trying to light and control the flame on his whisperlite (probably more to do with him being an idiot than anything else mind 🙂 )
The windsheiled effectively didn't cost anything as just buying the pans and stove would have cost as much

thats true :d

i did get good at controlling the simmer on the whisperlite after using it daily for 6 months :D.

I do find my self looking at those tistax pots wistfully - i like the handle design- ****ing potgrab caused me a few lost dinners 🙁 and the number of non stick coated camping pans ive written off over the years.... yeah ive justified a set next time i order from alpkit i think:D

Have you got a photo of the gas and brukit burner in the pot with the lid on?
