For large ultrawide, curved is definitely the way to go. I had a 34" flat panel IPS but it just wasn't right after having a go on a mates curved panel display. It's hard to quantify but it just seemed right straight away. I recently got a 34" curved UW, even at that size (as you are seated much closer than a TV) the curve is great. I hate to parrot the term, but the"immersion" really is fantastic for games .I wouldn't buy a flat 34"+ panel tbh.

So why wouldn’t you just buy a nice big very good quality 65” lg TV for the same price, what’s the advantage of this?

It's a great price but the resolution is low for it's size in order for it to be able to do 240Hz for gaming - I'm not sure I'd want to make that trade for a general office monitor (if anyone was thinking about getting one for that use case).
I wont start another PSA, but the monitor I have is now at £660 today.
Alienware 34", curved, oled, ultrawidescreen 165hz. Crucially, this has 3 year burn in warranty from Dell.
Same res as the other monitor, so higher dpi.
Again, superb for gaming (I would argue better in some use cases as you aren't twisting your neck as much) but it's not such a clear winner for productivity as it's oled and Cleartype has issues with the oled layout. Mainly it's the oled that makes it a gaming monitor primarily though.

The LG and the Alienware I've just posted are 3440x 1440, so around 3/4 Res of 4k so you can get away with a slightly lower spec GPU with little noticeable image quality. Hell, they are both oled, so will blow away IPS TV's/monitors for image quality, blacks and response times etc.
