Just noticed that from channel 550 (just on from XXX Mums...) are 24 HD channels for the BBCs HD olympic coverage - there are also SD channels further along.
This will be what is accessible from the red button menus, but it is easier to channel hop directly.

If you go to channel 550 now it is showing which events will be on which channel at what time.
The road cycling is on BBC Olympics 3 from 9:55am, which must be channel 552.
I've got 48 channels (HD and non HD).
It makes flicking back to Eurosport after my daughters been watching iCarly a bit of a button press marathon, tbh.
I saw this the other day - would be great if you could split your screen into four and watch four different events at once.
