You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
We have in our care a child (12 years old) that has just found my PSVR and he's been enjoying it. However he would like a shooting game – I wouldn't want him to play any that involve 'human' interactions (such as Zero Hour or Blood & Truth) but he is pretty unshockable (ie, has watched things like Stranger Things for several years) and we would consider letting him play fantasy shooting games (ie shooting alien opponents – Farpoint?), however, we obviously wouldn't want him playing anything that includes any bad language. He wouldn't be interested in shooting tin cans off walls or anything like that - it would need to be a proper FPS.
Thank you
Is Plants V Zombie garden warfare VR compatible? I know they was some 'testing' going on
Might not quite fit the "proper FPS" criteria (I think it does) but if Pistol Whip is on the PS Store then it's an absolute belter of a game
As mentioned above, Pistol Whip is good although you are shooting "humans" - kind of!
Others worth looking at - but I think most of these are rated as 18+ so not suitable for a 12-year-old.
Superhot VR
Mortal Blitz
Borderlands 2 VR
Doom 3: VR Edition
Farpoint
After the Fall
Arizona Sunshine
Until Dawn: Rush of Blood
The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners
If anyone's interested the PS5 PSVR2 pre-order sign-up is open now: https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/ps-vr2/register-to-pre-order/
It's hella expensive (£529, more than the PS5 itself...) but is a huge leap on from the PSVR1. Bit annoying it's not out until Feb 23 either so misses Christmas 🙁 I expect it will be sold out regularly for a few months like the PS5 was but not sure how big the initial drops will be for those that don't get a reservation via the above link.
Splatoon.
Superhot is an excellent game, basically shooting red human shaped characters that appear to be made of glass, it's not gory at all. The main premise is that the slower you move the slower time progresses, so you can watch bullets and dodge them matrix style.
Rec Room is very child suitable, it's online playing against others in a variety of games like paintball/ lasertag. Still 1st person shooter but suitable for all ages. Also it's free but you can pay for tokens to buy outfits in the game. I never have though.
Rec Room - good call and it's free.
Rez Infinite is also child friendly. Think it's free also - maybe on PS+ only.
