My 15 year old daughter designed the helmet worn by the Red Arrows leader today for the RAF’s 100th anniversary. Her work was selected from among 7500 entries to Blue Peter, and while I can’t yet disclose everything she has been treated to by the programme and the RAF, she has enjoyed a fantastic time over the last few weeks, and been given opportunities she could never have imagined before.

Very cool 😎, well done her.
I imagine a career in the RAF will now be appropriate?😉
Yep, that is cool 🙂
Most excellent work!
Blimey - well done, SaxonRiderette!
Truly amazing SR!
Awesome, did you get to tag along?
that's awesome! Well done to her
Nice one 🙂
Isn't 15 a bit too old for Blue Peter?
😉
Well done Miss SaxonRider 😀
That's amazing! Maybe in a few years she'll be Red 1 😜
Way cool
Stuff of dreams, that. Amazing! (and the 15yr old inside me is very jealous!)
That’s really cool. I hope the design involved sticky backed plastic, an empty washing up bottle and a convenient second helmet that was made earlier.
Excellent, congrats to the young lady.
I saw her on Blue Peter! Fame and glory indeed.

Poor kid 🙁
Wow - that's certainly something for the cv and personal statement!
Marvellous. Sounds like she had a great treat.

Wow! That is unfeasibly cool!
Loving the helmet design! Good work!
Wow, very cool.
Love the design.
If not a career with the RAF, maybe a career at Troy Lee Designs.
It doesn't get any cooler, congratulations that is one talented young lady.
Impressive. Did she get a Blue Peter badge?
Always thought it would be cool to have one but never applied myself enough in anything
My son has Blue, Green, Silver and Purple Blue Peter badges.
He went through a phase
Great effort from Miss SR. Well done. (She'll get an Orange badge)

Wow! She flew in a jet? Very cool.
Well done to your daughter saxon. I must say whilst listening to some deep drum and bass, that the design is smart as f***!
