Today I saw a urologist who diagnosed me with prostatitis. This was a relief after 3 months not knowing for definite what was wrong. It was also great to hear the urologist say that once it has resolved itself there is no reason I shouldn't ride again.

Anyway, I'm interested to know of others' experience of this condition. In particular:

1. What was your recovery time?
2. Did you switch to an anatomical type saddle (I'm looking at Selle SMP and ISM Adamo)?

OK so you've got an -itis, which means something wrong. Did he say what was actually wrong and what in his opinion had caused it?

Had twice in my life . Prostrate is part of your body itis is medical for something is up with it. Mine were treated with 3 months of antibiotics . The postrate is a bit hard to target for some reason it took about 3 months to completely clear up. Full recovery made .

I now ensure I regularly empty my bladder and don't excercise on a full bladder. I do prefer wtb rocket v saddles that have a groove.
