Lanzarote last Sunday. Got drinking with an Irish man in the hotel bar after the girlfriend went to bed proper early. He was on the local larger I was on the rum and cokes. It didn't end well and most of it ended up on the balcony and bathroom floor. 😀

Full English brecky the following morning washed down with an espresso martini. 😈

Earlier this year at a friend's birthday party. Spewing and everything 😳 Have to bear in mind that I barely drink now so I've become a lightweight- I can remember that, until I'm slightly drunk at which point bring on the cocktails!

world cup, england vs uruguay... cant remember anything from about 15 mins into the game... i do remember the taxi driver helping me into the house and shaking his head... i was then so sick it caused a cramp like no other in my anus... the following 2 days were ruined...

it turns out i can't drink like i used to before i had kids.

i'm out on the lash again on the 12th of dec.... i already have the fear 🙁

I do love getting pissed. I go months at a time without drinking a drop as I can't have one or two. I am a proper binge drinker when let loose.

The last time for me was New Years Eve 1989
I said never again and have kept to it.
Don't get me wrong, I still like a drink but never to that state again. I get to a certain point and I just stop as I physically can't take in any more.
Become a wus in my old age I guess.

Real Ale Wobble, three or four years ago. Holy Mary, I was a mess. To this day I'm uncertain how/ if I rode the route that weekend. Tonyplym, you have a lot to answer for. And Tom, you are a very understanding man.

Speaking of which, one of the aforementioned gentlemen decided one night that he wanted a curry after a big matchday session on the ales in the 'Costa del Ystradgynlais' on the Swansea Valley Riviera. Blind drunk he negotiated a deal with his last 59p (I kid you not)at the local curry house. Sated but still apolitically drunk there was no way on God's good Earth that he could manage the final 300 yards home so he decided to kip in a neighbor's unlocked Freelander. Waking a bit later to expel the curry (perhaps it was a bit off?)he vomited all over the drive and then closed the door and went back to sleep.

Sunrise and somehow he managed to get home before the Freelander's owners woke. They found a pile of nastiness on the drive and some difficult stains on the upholstery.

Well I've had the best part of 3 bottles of red wine since lunch time & TBH I don't feel pissed in the slightest!
I think that is slightly worrying?

Perhaps five years ago after a night out with work mates. Got chatting to some random guy at the bar and we each spent about £50 buying each other malts. Ended up with all my colleagues back at mine - I staggered the full length of the living room before toppling forward into an ornate door handle and nearly ripping my ear off. It was the same size as my head for a few days.

My birthday party the other week.
Craft beer, fancy spirits, cocktails and homebrew. Took a 4 hour nap, got up and kept drinking until 10AM

Does pissing in your folks wardrobe count. I'm 40 and it was within the past five years.

Mate's wedding in 2012. Don't remember much, but I did flip a few tables and my wife left without me. Worst day of my life. Never touched a drop since.

Not for a long time.

Old enough (and almost wise enough) to know when to stop these days.

Even longer since I was so pissed I shat myself and carried on. Have also done the 'using random parts of the house as a toilet' trick in the past.

Sometimes growing up (just a tiny bit) is a good thing...

Ton, you're posts are always spot on. I've just had some of the best of Cairngorms brewery ale and then hitting the red wine. Cycling at 10 tomorrow and will suffer but having a good night in watching movies with the good wife.

June 22nd drank a bottle of Singleton - since then i've given it a miss.

Living in a country which there was sod all to do 3/4 of the year brought out the worst out in my drinking, nearing the end of my contract, a couple of bottles of whisky a week were the norm, plus cocktails at weekends, and beers.

I feel a lot happier now riding without being hungover and y weekends seem to be more pleasant. Still get pangs to drink when bored.

Years ago now.

I just don't have the constitution for it. After a bit of a wrestling match with my alchohol intake this year. A night on the beer now = 3 beers (Max 4.5%) no more than once a week. And that'll produce a hangover if I don't round the night off with a few cups of tea.

More than one pint = hangover and maybe a headache for 2 days.
Generally dont even bother.. or go for quality in tiny quantities.

Similar to me. The few beers I drink usually come on the Friday night as a form of release, collected on the way home from Fell Running after work.

I only usually manage two after a busy day and a good run out.

i am feeling suprisingly fresh this good morning. slept like a baby and snored all night, the wife says.
poached eggs on toast, then out on the bike for some good old fresh air, and maybe a hair of the dog at teatime.

Last Sunday.. Went for a couple pints with my girlfriend at 3pm, then met up with her wee bro and a few of his pals.. We left the pub at closing (not before orchestrating an impromptu slam poetry session) and all rode back to my gaff via Tesco metro (where some sort of obscene westcountry tourettes version of the bogeys game happened) drank more wine and don't remember getting to bed..

Good times 🙂

Many years ago on my birthday, after being in the pub with a whisky glass that was kept topped up all evening. Back at a mates close to home I apparently sat for a while with a kitten perched on my head! No photos, though.
Still love a drink, but really don't enjoy getting shitfaced.

Not a single spelling mistake, punctuation and just the lack of capitals to hint at a slight deterioration of compus mentus.....

You haven't been drunk until you've had an IV line stuck in your arm.
