You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Numpty question but have recently got a new HTC One Mini and have tried transferring all the music I ripped from CDs onto Windows Media Player on my PC. Two thirds seemed to have copied over successfully through syncing, but a few others which have transferred to the phone won't play despite being in the same wma format as those that have synced successfully - error message says "Unable to play this type of audio file".
Any reason why this is happening and any solutions?
Thanks
Possibly to do with rights management, maybe the format or bitrate. I always use mp3 as it is pretty universal. I just drag and drop for copying.
You could batch edit them to mp3, or maybe try a different music player. The built in one on my phone is ok but not the best.
I have that handset.
I use Google music. You can listen to all of your music without it being physically on your phone, providing you have internet.
I only use it with WiFi so works well.
Sorry, don't know much about your issue but agree with above that it's most likely a rights issue, having had similar problems with files in iTunes..
