Mate's got a problem, sent him away to disconnect other devices and reset his router but in the meantime, but wondered if any thoughts here?
Phone: Xperia U (I tried to warn him)
Router: Netgear (talk talk)
Problem: Phone searches for network, connects, immediately disconnects, searches and continues to do this infinitum.
Router is WPA2, but no options in Anroid 4.0 to change this anyhow (apparently).
Any thoughts?
Cheers, Rich
On our netgear router you need to log on to the router settings and allow new devices to connect.
First thing to try is a reboot (NOT reset) of the router. My old Xepria X10i sometimes did this, router reboot will clear any caches etc.
Try turning off the wireless security on the router and see if allows a connection.
The phone will connect with WPA2 I'd guess.
Try assigning a static IP to the phone on the router as well.
a reboot (NOT reset)
Difference?
Correct password ?
Daft as it sounds...

Good grief; you were right 😳
Reboot is basically off and on. Reset is to wipe the router back to factory default settings.
