I'm looking to get a few (half a dozen initially) 8x10 prints done (mono & colour)
I don't really want to use Max Speilmann, but rather a slightly more persoanlised option where someone would look at the shot and maybe tweak if necessary, knowing what they're doing
Any recommendations?

Photobox.co.uk they are online I've had prints, photo albums and canvas prints from them very good . I would highly recommend a look.
When I shot film I used these people for processing,always excellent service.

Frosts in Sutton Coldfield are my local Fujifilm Digital Imaging Service. They are good as are most FDIS places. Google your nearest one. If they support it, you can register with them and use their online Imagine kiosk and do fancy stuff with your images. Some post back but others are collect in store only.
If it's just eight or 10 shots I would do it for you. I'd ask you to cover postage and packing but I'll do the printing part and the paper for a charitable donation. You can donate to any charity you like. Email me the files (mail is in profile) and your address. Are they RAW or JPEG? Also let me know what you'd ideally like done or else I can just use my own judgment.
