Basically I'm writing a few short stories for my sons birthday, which I'm going to illustrate and get printed as a book for us to read to him.

I Googled how to get this printed and some of the costings were crazy money - hundreds of pounds. So I was thinking of uploading the pages as photos to Photobox and getting it printed as an album, which should get it down to about £30. Anyone tried this, or could recommend another way of doing it?

Blurb is very good for photo books which I'm sure as you say you could adapt.
They have some beautiful papers which you can sample by ordering the pack and then get the cost off your order.
