Our HP shop printer takes 4 cartridges.

If I buy an Epson printer  for home that takes 4 cartridges will they be interchangeable?

Totally not the answer but HP do a thing called instant ink which is basically pay-as-you-go, so far it's working great for me on the home printer. It'll work out some ridiculous amount cheaper than buying cartridges for my old canon

We bought a new HP in the sales - got 9 months free ink with it, worth more than the printer price, and less than one full set of replacement cartridges for the old printer... And now £5.99 a month for ink.

Used these for years with no problems. Cheap as chips.

Look up CISS systems for your printer. Ive got an old Epson XP-323 printer with a CISS kit fitted and its been great for years. Buy my ink from Wilkos now to top it up. I've got kids mind so they hammer it for homework.

These sell them...
