Just decided to get rid of my climbing kit as I've not used it for about 5 years. Not sure how to price it. Looked on UK climbing for ideas for some of it, but I'm not sure how to price my full set of HB Quad Cams and flexi 'friends'. Any guidance?

What stuff you got Jo?

I may be in need of a harness and stuff. Want to get serious with my climbing again after a year off.

Hi jo
Try ebay. But as general rule I am not sure climbers will buy second hand kit. Unless it's from someone they now. But if you want I can vouch you are someone very thorough with your kit and it has been well maintained and stored 😉

Cams and friends is OK. Wouldn't but 2nd hand ropes or harnesses though

Aye, that's a point. A Jo harness won't fit me. Send it Georgia's way.

Thanks for the replies. It's all been stored in a dry cupboard in 'stuffsacks' and had been barely used when put away. Just started biking all the time instead less icky riding in foul weather than trying to climb in foul weather.... Had just replaced stolen kit that was years old, thus it's hardly used. There's a woman at work who's having 1st dibs on the hardware. She advertised 'wants' on work intranet which spurred me on to see what I've got, that and being skint.

Some people are happy to use 2nd hand ropes for abseil stuff and static belay slings etc.

Spokes- I was going to keep my harness so I can at least go with others who have kit. Matt might sell his.

Big Al, I'll send you a list of what's left after the wifey at work has chosen. It's mainly hardware protection for outdoor climbing. I have a full body kiddies harness and rock slippers that might be of use for Manus too, for freebies naturellement in view of the Felt lending. Down the Burgh early Aug 🙂

I ended up giving my ropes to local diving club for wreck guides as no one would buy, even tho they were less than a month old with only 2 climbs.

Not really bothering to try and sell the ropes because of the issues mentioned above, it's the hardware really.
I'm rough reckoning it's about £500 worth in total. (now, not when new)
