Off there till Monday evening and it would appear the weather is gonna be shit!
We'll probably (us two and two kids) will probably head up in to the hills on Monday when the rest have buggered off as we've got the love for the outdoors but the others (mil/fil and sil/bil with two kids) will probably want to stay dry and warm. Any ideas for sat/sun

Go and eat food at the hat shop and there's plenty of good drinking pubs, beyond that there's not a lot to do if the weathers bad (lived their for 10 years & my folks still do). You could go to the swimming pool I suppose?

Im going a day later than the rest of them, so swimming is the choice for Saturday before I arrive thankfully 😉 "Floats" session on from 12 apparently.
Might just have to drag them all up into the hills then. Any local forests to go play in?

Wapley has an old hill fort at the top and is good for a walk, slightly less so for a bike, croft castle is worth a walk too, both are fairly easy going if not everyone is super fit. My favourite round there is to go west from Norton then up through woods towards offas dyke, along Llan wen hill and then down meeting house lane although if the weathers bad you'll miss the good views it gives.

Water break it's neck should be nice if the weather is grotty off the road out to Builth & has the benefit that it should be sheltered.

And the Norton route works on a bike as well.
