Kind of makes you think and wonder if sticking to beans is better than a bag of pre ground.

Now, who had their bag of Tesco finest this morning ? 😀

Would be more concerned if I wasn't steaming the bejesus out of it in a tightly pressurised aluminium container and then straining it through a very fine filter. Any trace of cockroach that gets through that should be pretty microscopic and sterile!

Meh. We'll all be eating insect sourced protein instead of steak in a few years. For God's sake don't investigate what goes into meat production.

Apparently, cockroaches can live even after their heads have been removed.

Nah, they're far more advanced - cockroaches are mere amateurs in comparison.

I thought I was getting a caffeine fix but turned out what I really needed was a bug fix.

Gotta be honest, I struggle with eating bugs just because of the looks. Snails I can do, but whole crickets etc, no ta. But as an ingredient? I've had some cricket flour brownies that were gorgeous.

I think I'd rather if my coffee were really just coffee, just because it's expensive per gram, but I really can't get concerned about their being insects in it.

Nope, but I do now want to smash a piano.

Same with any food. There are acceptable levels of contaminants for wheat and barley, so that's beer and bread out of the equation if it bothers you.

And did you know Cottage Pie contains ground-up bits of cow?

Had some of that civet shit coffee in Bali once. Actually rather pleasant. Not worth the premium though.

Shocking. Pay for lamb and get end of life milkers instead.

There are no cottages in cottage pie.
There are no Brownies in chocolate brownies.

Life is a lie

Oh ya in the far east we avoid preground coffee because some will bulk up the coffee with all sort of stuff ...

As long as my barista is organic, ethical, artisanal and recyclable then I don't mind what's in the grind.
