Ive bought a pair of tp link powerplugs which have a single ethernet port on each unit. Ideally I'd like to have 3 ports on one unit but these had great reviews and I only really need to plug one device in and the other two are nice to have.
Can I plug in either an ethernet port or port splitter into powerplugs or does the cable need to go directly to the device?
I used a cheap Ethernet switch on mine, about £6 of eBay. Worked fine with Tv and BluRay attached.
Yeah, you need a small switch.
Ah that's good news, thanks.
Possible stupid question but if I have the Ethernet cable from the Powerplug going into the Ethernet switch then a cable going into each device - Xbox, mac, sky box will I be able to go online on all three at once?
It was actually this one I used
i use the tp link powerplugs which have been faultless, TP like also do a cheap router about £15
Do the powerplugs need to be on the same circuit? (I ask because I want a point in an extension which is on a separate ring-main to the rest of the house)
Yeah need to be on same circuit.
Ah. OK ta.
