(reluctantly posting knowing there will be a barrage of "should have looked where you were going" comments!)

Has anyone here managed to succesfully claim for the repair/replacement of a wheel that has been ****ed by a massive unavoidable pothole on a main road?

Any tips? I have already forked out £40 this year for one repair - and I'm stuffed if i'm going to again if at all avoidable, since this was totally impossible to not drive through.

Yes is the answer. Just be reasonable in your estimates and don't try claiming for a £150 tyre when the one you knackered was pretty much bald.

Paid up in less than a month for me (2 wheels and tyres)

thanks doosuk - it'll only be £40 to repair, so I'll go and get some pics from the hole and submit the claim.
If I'd driven through all the potholes I've had to avoid today on my 120mile journey my car would be in pieces and I'd probably have a broken back!
