My new lodger hasn't been around for 3-4 days. He's been with me a week, just moved here for work (building site foreman) from Meath, Ireland, his car's still parked outside. He seems a normal guy, fairly quiet & decent.

I've just texted him checking he's OK, no response so far...next step contact the Rozzers? I don't have any contact details for family etc.

Contact the police. If you know where he works, contact his work

Ring his employer. It could be that he's sharing transport and this week is not his turn?

Have you suffered any blackouts recently? Is there a patch of freshly dug ground in the garden?

He works about 1 mile away and drives there solo, I don't know the employer other than location, but could drop round tomorrow and check I suppose.

It could be he's forming part of a concrete structure after bad debt management, or bunked up with some filthy hottie...I hope the latter though his partner wouldn't be chuffed!

That's it, I'll leave it to tomorrow and check his work.

Do you have a loft and have you checked your bedroom ceiling for spy holes?

Check your passport, bank account and credit cards, or anything else of value. The car may not be his...........

Generally missing things are quite difficult to see 🙂

From what you're saying I guess it wouldn't take too much detective work to find where he's working, they'll have presumably noted his absences if he's absent.

EDIT work on site might not stop at the weekends so you might not have to wait til tomorrow to check

Be careful who knows where he is?!!

in all seriousness if you are worried I would report it to the police they will do the necessary enquiries, allocate actions and risk assess, dealing appropriately. good luck.

I hope you told him off for doing one without leaving a note. You need to go all "mum" on him, that'll learn him.

He drives 1 mile to work?

thats nothing, there is a woman who's kids go to the same local village school as mine, she lives in the village easy flat walk with good pavements and lighting, no roads to cross, and yet she drives them.. a whopping just under 1/2 mile.

even better, on sat morning her husband drives the son to football, its at the secondary school that literally is on the same road... get this, 0.3mile.

i kid you not!
