You need to upload them to something like imgur or postimages.org
Choose one of 3 ways:
https://labnol.org/embed/google/photos is the easiest one (scroll down on the purple page for instructions).
Alternatively, I usually use a tinyurl converted link from the massive photo image link Google gives.
Or I just download the photo and re-upload to postimages.org cos that site gives the direct link which is simple
As above. You need a photo hosting service. Google Drive is not a photo hosting service, it's a storage service.
You can probably do it with some trickery but it's likely more trouble than it's worth.
Yeah, my instructions were for Google Photos, not Google Drive, if you meant that.
