click the add image button in the edit box or use the [ img ] image url [ /img ] (sans spaces) bbcode thing.

ok add img and these controls not working (in Chrome Windows 10 or iPad)

right click on image on another website, select copy.

You can also just type a description of what you want a photo of (inside the [webphoto] XX [/webphoto] ), and the new forum software finds the most appropriate one on the net.

Upload your photos to Imgur. It gives you the BBcode you need, so you can just copy that.

The image has to be publicly accessible so unless you've somehow enable full internet access for everyone an image on your iPad ain't going to work.

I use imgur. On a desktop hover your mouse pointer over an image then click the copy button that appears. On here click on the insert image button, for me it's the one at the RH end, paste the URI into the first box. This next bit's important - you have to select the image description box at which point the image dimensions get filled in. You can add a description if you want, it's the selecting the box that's the important bit. Now click OK.

I'm not risking editing the previous post 🙂

The previous version of the forum code allowed you to copy and paste the complete tag with URI inside but this no longer works. I think it's the image dimensions that the new code requires, it won't recognise [img]URI[/img] without them

So it still doesn't work from smugmug, unless I'm missing something.

Seems it sort of works with Flickr if you use their BB code but some bits left over

Had to look in developer tools but what you've put into the add image box is

See if you can spot the difference. (I've had to break the address so the forum doesn't do its thing.)

What you've done is copy the page address not the address of the image. I went to the page, right clicked on the image and chose "copy image address" then pasted that in place of the page address and got the image displayed.

Basically you have to copy the image address not the page address from the URI/address bar.

The share photo button on Flickr still doesn't work then.

Have to click on download photo, select all sizes, pick a size and right click on the image then copy image address.

Seems very long winded and Flickr says your not supposed to link like that.

Argh. I click the photo link but the window opens in landscape and half of it is off to the right of the phone screen so cant see what it says.

I've downloaded imgur and can make pictures work. I can't see anywhere to create an account.  I'm on android.
